Sam Lyle

Sam and his two sisters, Polly and Joanna grew up in Sydney, NSW. Polly and Jo were the first to start riding however when Sam was 14, he decided to have a go at riding when he realised that his sisters could do something better than him. Sam did his first event 4 months later and it all started from there. His sisters both gave up and he kept going. He finished school in 1992 and began riding full time.

In 1995 he won Gawler CCI Three Star on Foxground Dusky Song and also had a second and third placing on Foxground Findara at CCI Three star level. In 1995 he was ranked number one Young Rider in the world.

In 2006, Sam coach the Australian Young Rider team to win the Trans Tasman Trophy in New Zealand.

Cassia Montgomery

Cassia grew up in Melbourne and was your typical horse mad teenager. She would tag along with a school friend and her family to riding lessons and shows and spent as many school holidays as possible at riding camps.

Cas's dad has a property in North East Victoria so it wasn't long before the first pony was installed. She spent most weekends riding and competing but couldn't get enough of it.

After finishing school she decided to hold off university and spent a year working for Michael Baker. Michael introduced her to Heath Ryan and in 2003 moved up to Lochinvar, NSW with one horse to work for Heath and Rozzie. She spent three years working for the Ryans and learnt many valuable lessons.

Cassia now rides full time and operates a boutique breeding program with the aim breed and produce outstanding, well trained competition horses. Cassia is a NCAS Level one instructor and has competed at Three Star level eventing and Advanced Level dressage.
